Sri Lanka started brilliantly in the first test but were thwarted first by Indian wall Rahul Dravid and then the pitch in Ahmedabad.

There were concerns over the fitness of Indian captain MS Dhoni for the 2nd test but he has been cleared to play

20 Tests have been played in Kanpur so far, of which 12 have been drawn. but the recent games have been result oriented with only three draws in the last seven Tests.

India have a good record here, winning three of the last six Tests and drawing the others.

India will go on top if they beat Sri Lanka by 2-0 or better, while Sri Lanka just need to win the series to go past South Africa. Sri Lanka have made six tours to India over the last 27 years, played 14 Tests, and are yet to win one.
